Jacket Repeat / shirt Zara / trousers Zara / bag Chanel / shoes Chanel

Last week we paid a two-day visit to Paris to escape the rain in Holland. I love taking a walk through Paris and enjoying the atmosphere. Paris has a special place in my heart and I can't get enough of that city. We did some shopping on Rue St. Honoré. Checked the stock at Mulberry and did some browsing at Colette. Naturally, I had to pay a visit to Chanel at Rue Cambon. I spotted the cutest classic mini flap in patent leather, but since I'm on a Chanel shopping ban, I had to let this one go.

We ended the afternoon with a visit to the Eiffel tower and couldn't resist taking a funny picture...

I'm enjoying a holiday until the end of this week and am even spending less time behind my computer and just try to reload before the madness at work starts again. I need some extra energy for my business trip to Berlin this month. Really looking forward to meeting my trademark friends and colleagues again! :)

I still ow you the pictures we took in Paris and will sort them out tomorrow hopefully so that I can share those with you as well.

For now, here are some pictures we took yesterday when we paid a visit to the beautiful village Kinderdijk with me wearing my beloved new camel coat from Zara. If there's only one item you would like to purchase for Fall make sure it's a camel coat!

I am loving the new nail polish colors that Chanel will be launching on 10 September at VOGUE's Fashion night out. Like last year this will be a limited edition collection and sold in Chanel boutiques, online (unfortunately not for Holland) and selected department stores.

I really think that this collection of nail polishes fits perfectly in this Fall's trending colors and would love to get my hands on these colors.

I have a short trip planned to Paris soon. I adore Paris and I simply love how Parisians dress. It has a certain je ne sais quoi. And since no trip to Paris is complete without any Chanel (at least for me that is) I felt inspired to put some Parisian style and something Chanel in my outfit.

Oh, and I finally managed to get my hands on the September issue of Vogue US. I went to the book store so many times and it took forever for it to hit the stores here in Holland, but finally got it today! Yay! :)

Lipstick Chanel Rouge Coco No. 21 "Rivoli" / Nailpolish Chanel No. 487 "Rouge Fatal"

Remember my post about the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010 Fashion Show? I really loved the colors the models were wearing on their lips and nails! Earlier I read that this nailpolish called Rouge Fatal would not hit the stores until October. You can imagine my surprise when I saw it in stores about two weeks ago. Naturally, it was a limited edition and I got the last bottle in that store. Can't believe I almost missed out on this one! I also purchased the 'matching' lipstick Rouge Coco in Rivoli which is indeed a perfect match with Rouge Fatal. I can totally see myself wearing this combo a lot this Fall and Winter!

Oh, I had such a busy day today. After my regular working day in the office I ran to the gym to have my regular workout. Hit the shower afterwards and rushed into town (the stores are open in my city until 9 pm on Thursday). I am so addicted to L'Occitane's Foot cream with shea butter and had to get a new one. This foot cream is absolutely the best there is! You should definitely try it, you'll love it!

I still had 30 min. left, so I decided to step inside Zara to see if they had any new stuff and got me something nice for Fall! Pics of what I got should be up within the next couple of weeks. :)

Not just any Chanel, but my very own pre-loved and first (!) Chanel flap bag was featured in the Dutch magazine Linda.Mode! Still in absolute mint condition and up for sale again on Designer-Vintage from the lady that bought it from me a year ago, also on Designer-Vintage! You can find the ad here.

I can't help but feeling a bit proud that my pre-loved Chanel has managed to make it in the Linda.Mode! :)

Although we're still in the midst of Summer, the stores are already starting to stock up on Fall items. I love fresh new collections and looking at all the nicely decorated windows. My all time favorite, well at least current most favorite boutique: the Chanel boutique on 31, Rue Cambon in Paris. And it is ready for the Pre-Fall 2010/2011 Collection!

Look at these great pictures of the windows of this boutique! So gorgeous! I love this collection and especially that gorgeous shade of grey on the Jumbo and those killer platform sandals on the last picture! I really need to plan a visit to Paris soon and drool all over these windows!

I bought so many new clothes at H&M lately that I don't even know which ones I want to wear. I would love to wear them all at the same time or change clothes three times a day, LOL! Anyway, I would like to share some pictures of an outfit I wore last weekend. I still have to get used to it, but I love this long skirt! You can't really tell from the pictures, but it ends below my ankles. I had to be careful not to trip over the hem of the skirt. ;)

I was really impressed with Peter Philips' (Global Creative Director of Chanel make-up) choices for the Chanel Couture Fall 2010 makeup! Especially the color used on the lips and nails of all the models really drew my attention. The nailpolish in "Rouge Fatal" will be launched in October 2010 and I truly hope that it will not be a limited edition again like last years "Jade"!

The lipstick Philips used, was Rouge Coco No. 21, "Rivoli" (a deep red with plum accents). In my opinion, a true must-have for Fall and such a beautiful color.

The lipsticks are easy to apply, glide over your lips smoothly and are very moisturizing. Not to mention I really like the colors. There are 35 shades including a few limited editions that are exclusively sold in only some countries.

Added bonus are cute little pins that Chanel is giving away. My sweet SA at the Chanel beauty corner gave me 4(!) so that I could create the name Coco!!! :D

Yesterday, Chanel presented the Couture Fall 2010 Collection in the Grand Palais in Paris which was filled with a giant lion. Karl explained that the lion was an ode to the astrological sign of Coco Chanel. In this couture collection, he used a lot of fall colors, such as maroon, navy, brown and camel.

I always love to see the Chanel Couture collections! Unfortunately Couture is something only the extremely rich and famous can afford I am afraid. It would be a dream come true if I could try on one of these brilliant Couture creations from Kaiser Karl!

Please enjoy a few pictures I selected for you from the show!

I absolutely adore this bracelet and these booties are out of this world with all those pearls!

I also love the make-up on the models. They had nude colors on eyes and cheeks and red lips and nails (Could it be burgundy? It does look a lot like the inside of the classic Chanel flap bag). Love, love, love it! It's the only thing I could see myself wearing from this collection! ;) Can't wait until this shade of nailpolish and lipstick will hit the stores. Must have them!

Chanel red Cruise 2010 cardigan

Photo Kate Moss taken from celebrityfashiontips.com

Did you ever regret not buying something when you had the chance? Well, back in November last year my fabulous SA at the Chanel boutique in Amsterdam offered me a first pick on this gorgeous red cardigan from the Cruise 2010 collection. I decided to buy a bag instead. I wish I had purchased it. It would have been my first Chanel ready to wear item. :)

If I had bought the cardigan, I think this would be a great way to combine it:

Take a Bow - Madonna

Take a bow, the night is over
This masquerade is getting older
Lights are low, the curtains down
There's no one here
Say your lines but do you feel them
Do you mean what you say when there's no one around
Watching you, watching me, one lonely star

You took my love for granted, why oh why

Yesterday, on Museumplein in Amsterdam, when I was actually on my way to the Chanel boutique to pick up some goodies I had reserved, I was shocked to see what must have been the worst fake Chanel bag ever! It was such a horrible fake, I even felt sorry for the poor baggy!

Watch and be horrified:

Who doesn't know My Brand's t-shirts, incorporating famous brands in the prints of their t-shirts? Brands such as Chanel, Hermes, YSL and Marc Jacobs.  Their clothing have been worn by many Dutch celebs and are currently flying off the shelves.

Although I would not have expected anything less than these t-shirts being extremely popular among fashionistas in The Netherlands aka "counterfeit-heaven", it is also no surprise to me that Chanel has ordered My Brand to stop selling the "Chanel inspired" t-shirts (because Chanel considers them to be fakes!).

My Brand t-shirts are often called designer inspired, however I prefer to call it infringement!

Something may be called infringement if the sign used by the infringer is identical or similar to a registered trademark (including association with a registered trademark). In case there is a likelihood of confusion (which in my view clearly is the case here), a trademark owner can object against the use of the infringing sign.

And honestly speaking, I'm not sure why people would like to wear something which is obviously fake and not very creatively designed. Why not save up a little bit more and buy something from the designer self instead of a knock-off? I would suggest to steer away from wearing something that makes you look like a wannabe. In my opinion, a real fan of these much coveted authentic brands would stay true to the designer and not buy a cheap fake!

Two questions that need to be answered in this respect:

  1. would these t-shirts be equally popular if these brands were not incorporated in the prints?
  2. do you think it's fair that My Brand makes a profit using other designer's brands and fame?

Well, you be the judge and decide whether the My Brand t-shirts are designer inspired or simply infringement:

My Brand "Chanel" t-shirt vs. Chanel's interlocking CC logo

My Brand "YSL" t-shirt vs. YSL logo

My Brand "Hermes" dress vs. Hermès logo (they even copied the figurative element)

Yesterday Karl showed his latest Cruise Collection at sunset in Saint Tropez. With spring being so cold for this time of year, Chanel latest Cruise collection makes me long for a hot and sultry summer even more!

There were lots of beautiful sundresses, many (checkered) clothes as well as bikinis, which were clearly inspired by Brigitte Bardot, a series of white cotton looks and even some tweeds.

Here are some pictures from the show taken from Women’s Wear Daily (photos taken by Giovanni Giannoni):

I have new sunnies! :)

It has a cute little bow detail on the sides.

I heart Chanel newly released Spring/Summer 2010 Eyewear Collection. I wasn't planning on buying another pair of sunnies since I already purchased the oversized black Ray Ban Wayfarer earlier this year. However when I received Chanel's newsletter announcing the release of the new collection, I couldn't help but checking them out in person.

I ended up buying the sunnies advertised in the Chanel newsletter, since I really like the little bow detail. As you can see, the ones in the ad have white bows.

The new campaign for Coco Cocoon with Vanessa Paradis as a model, replacing Lily Allen, has been launched!

Karl: "Mademoiselle Chanel was a rebel for her time and I find this same free spirit in Vanessa Paradis, both in the way she lives and in the way she dresses. She has a very special kind of magic. She is able to communicate something that is invisible to the eye but that comes across on the screen. Her attitude and charm appeal to everyone."

Vanessa: "The better we know each other, the more we love each other. My admiration and my love just keeps growing. I feel amazingly lucky to be able to work with CHANEL (...) The Coco Cocoon bags are as beautiful as they are cosy. The fabric allows you to be chic, while at the same time you can rest your head on it and feel comfortable."

Although I am not a fan of this line of bags I do love this campaign. I think Vanessa Paradis looks stunning. It will be no surprise to me if Karl will sell lots of Coco Cocoon bags with Vanessa Paradis being the face of this campaign!

I'm back! :) After a long break due to personal issues I am finally back with a new and improved site. Well, the plan is that the site will be freshed-up in the near future. Further, I have decided to change the format of the site. I have decided not to write about IP related subjects only, but to put in a more personal note by writing about stuff I like and enjoy (which will obviously include IP every now and then). :)

Chanel Jade

First thing I want to share today is the latest Chanel nailpolish line. I'm not really a nailpolish kinda girl, but ever since the models at the Chanel Fall/Winter '9 Ready to Wear Fashion Show were wearing Jade on their nails I'm hooked! Too bad Jade was nowhere to be sold in Europe. I finally managed to find a second hand bottle of Jade on Ebay for "only" 75 euros. I know, I'm crazy!

Chanel Jade 407

Chanel Les Pop-Up de Chanel

Luckily for the ones among us who missed out on Jade, Chanel has decided to include a turquoise shade called Nouveau Vague in their new Chanel Les Pop-Up de Chanel, the nailpolish collection for this Summer. Nouveau Vague is obviously a different shade, but still shows some similarity with Jade. They finally hit the shelves over here in Holland and I immediately picked up both Nouveau Vague and Riviera (a hot pink). Too afraid to miss out.

I love both colors, but especially Nouveau Vague. You need to see them for yourself to understand why. For a swatch I can really recommend to pay a visit to All Laquered Up, a great site about nailpolish.

They are the perfect shades to wear at the pool and I think they would look great on a tan. Can't wait to put these on during my holiday later this spring! Go get yours before the sell out! :)

Message from Chanel

Currently I am completely obsessed with Chanel. If there was a CA (Chanelaholics Anonymous) I would have to sign up for their program. As much as I am obsessed by Chanel, the more I detest fake Chanels!

Well, I am pleased to see that Chanel is taking serious actions against counterfeits and even have their own website informing consumers and warning counterfeiters about buying and selling fakes. Please don't buy a fake Chanel! You think no one will notice you're carrying a fake? Well, it's easy to spot a fake! Want to know more? Visit the site here

I have to apologize for my absence lately. I have been so caught up with so many things. Busy with my work for one and tracking down my HG bag: the classic Jumbo flap in caviar leather in black from Chanel. Yes!!! I am finally the proud owner of my dream bag! :))

My Chanel Jumbo

Besides, lately I have also been spending a lot of time on my favorite forum, a total must visit prior to buying your designer bag: The Purse Forum. If you don’t want to get ripped off, do your research on this forum first before buying a designer bag online! It truly helped me a lot (so many friendly and well-informed members there). Thanks to The Purse Forum (TPF for insiders) I managed to stay just a little bit more patient for my bag to arrive. I found out that I was not the only one waiting for the bag. And TPF gave me the info that new bags were arriving in the store, which made me alert for that specific phone call from the Chanel Boutique. I still managed to miss that phone call after all, but that’s a different story. I won’t bother you with my stupidity. ;)

In addition, it's good to know that there are people out there that share the same thoughts and experiences. Learn more about your favorite designer bag too and check it out: www.purseforum.com

Ebay aanbiedingen

Need I say more?

  1. Een veel te laag bedrag;
  2. De merknaam verkeerd geschreven;
  3. Veel advertenties van hetzelfde product;
  4. Verkoper uit China;

Chanel 2.55 1

Chanel 2.55 3
Echt of nep?

Happy buying!
