I have a short trip planned to Paris soon. I adore Paris and I simply love how Parisians dress. It has a certain je ne sais quoi. And since no trip to Paris is complete without any Chanel (at least for me that is) I felt inspired to put some Parisian style and something Chanel in my outfit.

Oh, and I finally managed to get my hands on the September issue of Vogue US. I went to the book store so many times and it took forever for it to hit the stores here in Holland, but finally got it today! Yay! :)

Sometimes it's just so hard to establish if an online store is legitimate or not. You really have to have your facts right in order to know if you are dealing with a party that is selling authentic stuff or not. On the other hand, in some occassions, it's just too easy to spot a fake. In this case you can easily see you're dealing with fakes here...

This is the homepage of an online shop selling shoes called ourshoesbox.com. They sell many fake designer shoes among which a lot of fake Christian Louboutin shoes.

 Well, I think I might have even seen the picture on the homepage of Ourshoesbox.com before... Oh, wait a minute! It's copied from Net-a-Porter's online magazine of earlier this year!

Oh, and well, the layout  on the other pages of the website also looks a lot alike...

The fake Christian Louboutin you would like to order is currently not in stock. But maybe you want to ple-order? It might be a bit difficult to read, but it actually says ple-order, instead of pre-order!!!

Ok, one more clue on how to know that we are dealing with fakes here: the price? It seems a bit low don't you agree?

Christian Louboutin must have been fed up with all the fakes floating around! He started a website stopfakelouboutin.com with the sole purpose to educate the public about their zero tolerance policy against counterfeits. As you can imagine I am very pleased to see that designers are taking more and more actions against fakes!

As mentioned so many times before: when something is too good to be true, there's a big fat chance it's a fake! The site reports that Louboutin shoes are not manufactured in China and that there is no factory in China that can sell legimate shoes to anyone.

With popularity still growing, Christian Louboutin's shoes are widely copied and sold as authentics. During my regular visits to the trademark databases I stumbled upon a recently registered trademark of the red sole mark by Mr. Louboutin. I am happy to see that he has managed to register the red sole as a color mark in the Benelux and is now waiting for his Community Trademark Application to mature into a registration as well!

Counterfeiters: hands off! It's not only copyright infringement but also infringement of registered trademark rights when copying Mr. Louboutin's red sole shoes!

Personally, I believe this article is a must read! Read this article now and hopefully you will understand why buying a fake is simply not acceptable!

How to recognize a fake Christian Louboutin shoe:

There is an explosion of websites offering fake designer shoes. Counterfeits of Christian Louboutin’s shoes are being offered on sites such as ChristianLouboutinLondon.com, where shoppers can purchase them for around 70% of the price you would pay for the real deal.

These kind of sites will show pictures of authentic designer shoes, but the actual shoes you purchase will be fake.

Ik ben gek op de schoenen van Christian Louboutin. Vooral toen ik The Hills-ster Lauren Conrad meerdere malen met de prachtige zwarte peeptoes zag, wist ik dat ik een gelijksoortig paar bovenaan mijn verlanglijstje moest plaatsen.



Helaas kun je Louboutins niet eenvoudig bij de betere locale schoenenzaak krijgen. Nee … in Nederland kun je ze momenteel alleen verkrijgen bij Azzurro in de PC. Als alternatief kun je het online proberen. Zo worden ze te koop aangeboden bij http://www.net-a-porter.com/ en http://www.mytheresa.com/. Mocht je je droompaar op het oog hebben, die met veel mazzel nog in jouw maat verkrijgbaar is, dan is de volgende horde het enorme bedrag dat je ervoor op tafel moet leggen.

En daar spelen vele webshops vernuftig op in. Na een klein speurrondje stuitte ik op meerdere webshops die wonderbaarlijk gigantische hoeveelheden aan Louboutin’s aanbieden en dan ook nog eens flink onder de winkelprijzen en de vraagprijzen op eerdere genoemde sites. Zo op het eerste gezicht nog niet zoveel aan de hand. Is het werkelijk mogelijk? Zouden het echte zijn?



Christianlouboutin-shop.com: Louboutin-heaven of Louboutin-namaak?

Wederom is het uiteraard te goed om waar te zijn … Een kort bezoekje aan de officiële site brengt duidelijkheid. Helaas is ook meneer Louboutin genoodzaakt zijn klanten te waarschuwen voor alle namaak op het internet! Zodra je op de website komt, zie je meteen een waarschuwing. Alle andere sites anders dan zijn officiële site zijn illegaal en leveren zeer waarschijnlijk namaak! Neem jij het risico voor een paar honderd Euro?



Eens zien hoe scherp jouw oog is voor het spotten van namaak?

Welke is echt en welke is nep?




Hopelijk had je het bij het rechte eind en pikte je het rechter paar eruit als namaak. Zo zie je maar. Het blijkt wederom dat het erg lastig is om het onderscheid tussen echt en nep te maken online…

Wil je op op safe spelen, koop je Louboutins dan bij een officieel verkooppunt!

Tot op enkele maanden geleden waren mijn voeten zowat vergroeid aan mijn ballerina’s. Als ik ergens niet fantasievol mee was, dan was het wel met mijn schoenen. Ik was druk genoeg met wat voor kleren ik in godsnaam aan moest, ik vond het dan wel zo gemakkelijk om dan alleen nog maar de keuze te hoeven maken tussen welk paar ballerina’s ik aan zou trekken.

Ook toen al droeg ik hardnekkig platte schoenen, al waren het toen tenminste nog Prada-loafers.

Ze zag me in de jaren daarna groeien van een onzeker studentje met weinig geld tot een iets meer zelfverzekerde (inmiddels jawel alweer) dertiger en met iets meer geld in mijn zak, maar nog immer met mijn platte schoentjes.

Maar ik dwaal af. M. zag me dus weer enkele maanden geleden en begon me duidelijk te maken dat er een tijd komt, en zeker als de respectabele leeftijd van 30 is bereikt, een vrouw moet kunnen lopen op hoge hakken. Als je dan de moeite neemt om er leuk gekleed uit te zien, maak het dan af met een mooi paar killer heels!

Om haar verhaal kracht bij te zetten, vond ik een paar dagen later een uitgescheurd krantenartikel met daarin tips hoe op hoge hakken te lopen. Uiteraard moest ze meteen aan mij denken en had het artikel naar me gezonden.

In dat artikel was ook een kort interview met de, naar mijn mening, meest fantastische schoenenontwerper van dit moment: Christian Louboutin.

En ja hoor, een nieuwe obsessie was aangewakkerd. Naar aanleiding van het artikel heb ik mezelf met bloed, zweet en tranen gedwongen te leren lopen op die ‘krengen’ en mezelf getrakteerd op een aantal mooie stiletto’s.

Sterker nog, ben nu helemaal weg van de killer heels van Christian Louboutin. Niet alleen zijn de hakken van zijn schoenen sky high, gemiddeld zo’n 10 centimeter hoog. Zijn schoenen zijn met name kenmerkend door de rode zolen waar al zijn schoenen mee zijn voorzien.


Zijn schoenen zijn inmiddels immens populair. Sla een fashion magazine open en de modellen dragen zijn schoenen. Celebrities zoals Victoria Beckham en Dita von Teese worden continu gefotografeerd met zijn schoenen aan hun poezelige voetjes.

En ja hoor, daar is het probleem alweer. Hoe weet je of je jezelf kunt beschouwen als een succesvol designer? Als je nagemaakt wordt. Ook Christian Louboutin heeft inmiddels te maken met veelvuldige kopieën van zijn kenmerkende rode zolen.

Je zou kunnen denken: wat zit die man te zeuren dat anderen zijn rode zolen hebben overgenomen? Alsof hij een alleenrecht heeft op rode zolen. Ja, dat heeft hij inderdaad. Hij is namelijk wel zo slim geweest om een merkregistratie te verkrijgen voor de kleur rood voor schoenen. Hij heeft dus, naast het feit dat hij een auteursrecht heeft op zijn schoenen ook een (ongeregistreerd) modelrecht op zijn schoenen en tot slot een sterk merkrecht op de kleur rood voor zijn schoenzolen. Ieder ander mag dus niet zonder toestemming die kleur rood gebruiken voor schoenzolen.

Bovendien zijn het merk “Christian Louboutin” en het logo geregistreerd.

Helaas zijn zijn schoenen in Nederland momenteel slechts bij Azzurro in Amsterdam te koop. Mocht je daarom besluiten ze online aan te schaffen kijk dan alsjeblieft uit dat je niet opgescheept wordt met een nepper. Ik heb geconstateerd dat er namaakversies op Marktplaats en Ebay worden aangeboden.

Het zijn prachtige schoenen waarvan de prijzen beginnen bij ca. € 390,-. Laat je dus niet voor de gek houden dat je een nieuw paar voor slechts ca. € 200,- aan kunt schaffen. Met name als bij de advertentie vermeld staat dat levering zo’n 10 dagen duurt, kan ik je verzekeren dat de schoenen die je op je deurmat zult ontvangen nep zijn. Ze zijn wel exotisch, want ze komen dan vaak helemaal uit China! De schoenen die in de advertentie getoond worden zullen vast en zeker authentiek zijn, maar het paar dat jij zult ontvangen niet.
