Zara September 2010 Lookbook

Zara's webshop is finally online as of today! Unfortunately, they do not deliver to Holland yet. I do hope that will change very soon. Of course, I had to pay a visit to at least see what the webshop is like and it looks great.

I also browsed the rest of the site and saw that Zara has a new September lookbook and had to share a few favorite looks with you. Furthermore, it seems that Zara is also working on a (hard copy) magazine that will be released very soon. Hopefully, I can get my hands on a copy.

Well, as you may have noticed, I am a bit obsessed with Zara lately. I get like that with lots of things. :s It's just that I am trying to cut back on costs and Zara is a great way to keep up-to-date without burning a hole in my pocket! So be prepared to see many more outfits with Zara items in the future! :)

Pictures: Chloé Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign

Camel has always been one of my favorite colors. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I saw Chloé's gorgeous Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign and collection! I have always liked Chloé, but this year I really think that they have surpassed themselves. I love the colors they have used (apart from camel), how they combined different fabrics and mix masculine with elegant female items.

And don't you just love these gorgeous pictures of the ad campaign?

Unfortunately Chloé is well above my budget, but I will definitely keep it in mind as inspiration when I'm shopping for Fall items!

The Material Girl Ad with Taylor Momsen

Madonna only recently launched the "Material Girl" clothing line (available at Macy's) and now has already been accused of trademark infringement!

A company called L.A. Triumph Inc. claims that they have been using the trademark MATERIAL GIRL extensively since 1997 and has now demanded all profits from the Macy's line.

I'm quite interested to see what the outcome will be, because in contrary to Europe, you do not need a trademark registration to claim prior rights to a trademark in the US. If L.A. Triumph Inc. can prove genuine use of MATERIAL GIRL, Madonna might have to pay up.

Did you ever have a specific design for a pair of shoes in mind and simply couldn't find them in any store? I know I did. Well, the solution is finally here. The website Shoes of Prey offers you the possibility to design your own shoes and they will handmake them for you! How amazing is that!?

No need to search high and low for the perfect pair of shoes! Just simply design them yourself. I know what my new hobby will be! ;)

Thank you Machteld for this fantastic tip! This must be the best idea of the year or maybe ever!

Just a few examples! Aren't these shoes great!

Woohoo! I was interviewed together with Karin Barnhoorn of Designer-Vintage.com by the Dutch Grazia for this great article about fakes! I couldn't be happier and I really think Grazia did a fantastic job on this editorial piece! If you live in Holland go get your copy asap and read everything you need to know about fakes! Support the fight against fakes and let's make this a counterfeit free world! :)

I must have died and gone to Lanvin heaven! Look at these gorgeous pictures of the newly opened Madison Avenue store in New York. Five floors of blissful Lanvin goodies. Oh boy, aren't those upper East-siders lucky or what?! I am definitely adding this store to my list of must visit stores in New York!

If you would ask me, I think Kate Moss is the embodiment of boho-chic! I just love the way she dresses. It seems as if she doesn't have to put any effort in creating her outfits. It's like she just puts on whatever is within her reach and still manages to look fabulous. Such an inspiration!

Therefore, it is no surprise to me that French label Isabel Marant has decided to pick Kate as the face of their Fall-Winter 2010-2011 Collection. Isabel Marant is currently extremely hot and trending and I believe those two are a match made in heaven!

Look at this ad starring Kate Moss! Isn't she gorgeous!?

My favorite looks of the runway:

I especially love that loose fitted shirt, the striped shirt and the cropped pants! Oh, and I really adore that fur coat. Too bad I don't do real fur. Fur is just one of those things I fake! ;)

My favorite items currently for sale online on Net-A-Porter:

Although we're still in the midst of Summer, the stores are already starting to stock up on Fall items. I love fresh new collections and looking at all the nicely decorated windows. My all time favorite, well at least current most favorite boutique: the Chanel boutique on 31, Rue Cambon in Paris. And it is ready for the Pre-Fall 2010/2011 Collection!

Look at these great pictures of the windows of this boutique! So gorgeous! I love this collection and especially that gorgeous shade of grey on the Jumbo and those killer platform sandals on the last picture! I really need to plan a visit to Paris soon and drool all over these windows!

Last weekend I got a copy of "Fashion Blogs", "the first book to cover the wide range of categories in fashion blogging" according to the backcover of the book. It's such a great and inspirational book full with interviews with many well-known fashion bloggers. I simply can't get enough of it.

I loved reading about one of the fashion blogging pioneers "Susie Bubble", the sweet Jane Aldridge of "Sea of Shoes" and admired the beautiful pictures of "Liebemarlene Vintage", to name a few.

If you love fashion bloggers, this book is an absolute must-read!

I made some pictures to give you an impression:

Lucky me got an invite for the Club Brillant Fashion Show at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) which took place today! :)

The Club Brillant show was a celebration for six years of Dutch fashion at AIFW and showed some of the best designers we have seen in the last couple of years. I took some pictures to give you an impression of the show! I hope you like them!

Picture taken from Repeat newsletter

I know we're in the midst of Summer. Actually, it's been a long time ago that we have experienced such a hot Summer here in Holland! Despite the fact that I can't get enough of enjoying my days outside, preferably on the beach during my favorite season of the year, I think I have seen plenty of the Spring/Summer Collection by now.

I am so ready for Fall/Winter Collections! If it's getting cold outside, I love to wear lots of cardigans, sweaters, scarves and ponchos from the luxury brand Repeat! They have the most beautiful and comfortable clothing. Made out of rich and luxurious materials such as cashmere and cotton. I have so many Repeat items, I could start my own little Repeat boutique! That's how much I love it!

You can imagine my excitement when I received their online newsletter announcing that their Fall/Winter Collection has arrived in stores and even beter: their online shop will finally launch by the end of this month! I can't wait!

p.s. Hot news: The gorgeous Doutzen Kroes who is the face of Repeat is pregnant! Congrats Doutzen!

Missoni recently opened the doors of it’s first hotel in Edinburgh! If you’re a fan of Missoni, this hotel is really one you should visit. Everything inside the hotel is in Missoni style. From the linen to the walls and even the table things as well as the bath robes are in the famous Missoni prints.

The hotel has 137 rooms all decorated with the famous Missoni prints. Even the hotel staff is wearing Missoni! Which obviously is making me extremely jealous.

A one night stay in this hotel will cost you € 250.

Ladress and Net-A-Porter, which are two of my favorite web shops, have introduced new shopping applications to make your shopping experience more comfortable.

Ladress, well-known for the “perfect dress for all occasions” has introduced the “Personal Perfect Dress Finder”. By simply answering a couple of questions, Ladress will make a suggestion of selected dresses that will suit you perfectly, all free of charge and with no obligation to purchase.

I just took the test myself, which was really fun to do, and will post what my "perfect dress" would be as soon as I receive the results here!

Curious as to find out which of their gorgeous dresses are a perfect match for you? Check it out here: “Personal Perfect Dress Finder

Today, http://www.net-a-porter.com/ introduced their new NET-APP, a unique fashion application for the iPhone and the iPod touch. The application will synchronize your phone and downloads contents automatically so will never miss the latest arrivals and fashion news on http://www.net-a-porter.com/

So, even if you are enjoying your holiday or are on business trip, you can still do your shopping online! Perhaps, it's better not to tell your man that you have this cool application on your phone. ;)

Unfortunately, I do not have an iPhone. Maybe this would be a good occasion to get one? Although I fear I would go bankrupt.

Want to install this application now? Click here.

I had such a lovely time this weekend, I just wanted to share it with you.

First of all I visited the Arnhem Fashion Bi-Annual on Saturday just before it would end for this year and really enjoyed the exhibition. The exhibition, with the theme “Shape”, was officially opened by our Royal princess Maxima who was wearing a outfit designed by the fashion designer Jan Taminiau.

Cover of the official Magazine / photo of Maxima wearing Jan Taminiau: ANP

Piet Paris, a famous Dutch fashion illustrator, who organized this event, managed to collect a couple of magnificent dresses, among which a beautiful pink Jil Sander (see cover above) and an amazing digital dress designed by the Dutch couple Viktor & Rolf.

And what do you think of the shape of my dress I was wearing that day? :) I guess not quite as spectacular as the ones shown at the exhibition...

The lovely weekend ended with a visit to the Cartier Summer Polo. I even joined the "treading in". During this event, we experienced how small the world really is: This “Mr Hèrmes-guy” (unfortunately no picture of him present), who was on the same plane back from our holiday in Marbella, was attending this same event. In case you are reading this “Mr Hèrmes-guy”: we adore your style and love the Hèrmes-bag! Oh yeah, and by the way: yes, the bag is real! ;)

At this same event I also had the honor to speak with Jan Taminiau himself. Who by the way was looking smashing in his stylish outfit! We spoke about counterfeits and I can tell you: he also thinks that carrying a fake makes you a wannabe!

Times Online - Thibault Camus/AP

It's haute couture fashion week in Paris and yesterday Karl was showing his autumn/winter collection. Since I am a huge fan of Chanel, I just had to share this with you. Karl once again designed gorgeous typical Chanel pieces using lots of tweed, wool and sequins. For a sneak peak see the slide show on the Times Online website.
