Lucky me got an invite for the Club Brillant Fashion Show at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) which took place today! :)

The Club Brillant show was a celebration for six years of Dutch fashion at AIFW and showed some of the best designers we have seen in the last couple of years. I took some pictures to give you an impression of the show! I hope you like them!

The opening dress: Daryl van Wouw

One of my all-time favorites: LaDress

My favorite outfit of the show: Ready to Fish

Chanel posted a couple of pictures of Jessica Alba's first Chanel Haute Couture show. The pictures are so adorable. But then again, so is Jessica! Oh boy, it would be a dream come true if I could ever attend a Chanel fashion show!

I was really impressed with Peter Philips' (Global Creative Director of Chanel make-up) choices for the Chanel Couture Fall 2010 makeup! Especially the color used on the lips and nails of all the models really drew my attention. The nailpolish in "Rouge Fatal" will be launched in October 2010 and I truly hope that it will not be a limited edition again like last years "Jade"!

The lipstick Philips used, was Rouge Coco No. 21, "Rivoli" (a deep red with plum accents). In my opinion, a true must-have for Fall and such a beautiful color.

The lipsticks are easy to apply, glide over your lips smoothly and are very moisturizing. Not to mention I really like the colors. There are 35 shades including a few limited editions that are exclusively sold in only some countries.

Added bonus are cute little pins that Chanel is giving away. My sweet SA at the Chanel beauty corner gave me 4(!) so that I could create the name Coco!!! :D

Chanel pins as buttons on my jacket!

Yesterday, Chanel presented the Couture Fall 2010 Collection in the Grand Palais in Paris which was filled with a giant lion. Karl explained that the lion was an ode to the astrological sign of Coco Chanel. In this couture collection, he used a lot of fall colors, such as maroon, navy, brown and camel.

I always love to see the Chanel Couture collections! Unfortunately Couture is something only the extremely rich and famous can afford I am afraid. It would be a dream come true if I could try on one of these brilliant Couture creations from Kaiser Karl!

Please enjoy a few pictures I selected for you from the show!

Naturally, Baptiste Giabiconi, Karl's favorite, was starring in the finale.

I absolutely adore this bracelet and these booties are out of this world with all those pearls!

I also love the make-up on the models. They had nude colors on eyes and cheeks and red lips and nails (Could it be burgundy? It does look a lot like the inside of the classic Chanel flap bag). Love, love, love it! It's the only thing I could see myself wearing from this collection! ;) Can't wait until this shade of nailpolish and lipstick will hit the stores. Must have them!

As a follow up of the pictures I showed you last week of the Chanel Cruise 2011 fashionshow, I am now presenting you the trailer of this show. Don't you just love the clothes, accessories and atmosphere?! Oh boy, I wish I was there!

Yesterday Karl showed his latest Cruise Collection at sunset in Saint Tropez. With spring being so cold for this time of year, Chanel latest Cruise collection makes me long for a hot and sultry summer even more!

There were lots of beautiful sundresses, many (checkered) clothes as well as bikinis, which were clearly inspired by Brigitte Bardot, a series of white cotton looks and even some tweeds.

Here are some pictures from the show taken from Women’s Wear Daily (photos taken by Giovanni Giannoni):

Beautiful sundresses:

Glamorous swimwear:

Plus-size model Crystal Renn was also walking down the runway:

Some tweed and even a motorcycle:

I couldn't help notice some of the accessories and from what I could see, they looked adorable! I hope close-up pictures of accessories will pop-up online soon, so that I can share some of those as well.

Can’t wait till summer finally arrives!

I'm back! :) After a long break due to personal issues I am finally back with a new and improved site. Well, the plan is that the site will be freshed-up in the near future. Further, I have decided to change the format of the site. I have decided not to write about IP related subjects only, but to put in a more personal note by writing about stuff I like and enjoy (which will obviously include IP every now and then). :)

Chanel Jade

First thing I want to share today is the latest Chanel nailpolish line. I'm not really a nailpolish kinda girl, but ever since the models at the Chanel Fall/Winter '9 Ready to Wear Fashion Show were wearing Jade on their nails I'm hooked! Too bad Jade was nowhere to be sold in Europe. I finally managed to find a second hand bottle of Jade on Ebay for "only" 75 euros. I know, I'm crazy!

Chanel Jade 407

Chanel Les Pop-Up de Chanel

Luckily for the ones among us who missed out on Jade, Chanel has decided to include a turquoise shade called Nouveau Vague in their new Chanel Les Pop-Up de Chanel, the nailpolish collection for this Summer. Nouveau Vague is obviously a different shade, but still shows some similarity with Jade. They finally hit the shelves over here in Holland and I immediately picked up both Nouveau Vague and Riviera (a hot pink). Too afraid to miss out.

I love both colors, but especially Nouveau Vague. You need to see them for yourself to understand why. For a swatch I can really recommend to pay a visit to All Laquered Up, a great site about nailpolish.

They are the perfect shades to wear at the pool and I think they would look great on a tan. Can't wait to put these on during my holiday later this spring! Go get yours before the sell out! :)

Today was the last day of AIFW (Amsterdam International Fashion Week) and Ladress was showing her Spring/Summer collection this morning.

LaDress

A Box of Candy

LaDress makes me longing for spring even more than I already do. The show opened with lots of sweet and romantic mini dresses in cute pastels.
My little T-shirt dress

Followed by über-cool long t-shirt dresses with the most fabulous feel good texts such as "Feel fabulous & enjoy it", "Happy thoughts will make you shine" and "Princess in fashion heaven" combined with tight faux-leather leggings. I really need at least one of those t-shirt dresses by the way… *impatiently waiting for them to sell*

She’s a busy lady

Then Simone showed us some cool dresses that I would love to wear during office hours and that can easily be worn when office hours are over and it’s time to celebrate the weekend. The signature wrap dresses were cut way above the knees and their lovely Jacky-O dresses were made of a fabric suitable to wear in Spring. Oh, did I mention that I really need one of her dresses in navy?

A night to remember

Finally, the show ended with glamorous dresses for cocktail or a black tie event.

Simone’s new collection makes me want to wear high heels again after a long and extremely cold winter and it’s time for Spring to arrive so that I can put on one of the so many cute new LaDress dresses. Can’t wait for the new LaDress collection to hit LaDress.com!

Times Online - Thibault Camus/AP

It's haute couture fashion week in Paris and yesterday Karl was showing his autumn/winter collection. Since I am a huge fan of Chanel, I just had to share this with you. Karl once again designed gorgeous typical Chanel pieces using lots of tweed, wool and sequins. For a sneak peak see the slide show on the Times Online website.

Yesterday Ladress was having a lovely fashion show to show their newest collection. I am a huge fan of Ladress and own several dresses. I like how easily they make me look elegant and feminine.

Ladress, known for their classic dresses has gone out and beyond this time! The owner, Simone, really designed some fabulous dresses all perfect for a fantastic summer. A couple of them with fantastic prints!

The gorgeous Kim Feenstra was one of the models showing the dresses and was wearing the show stopping finale piece: a gorgeous wedding gown, which I would totally wear if I would get married.

The new dresses are now online. My absolute favorite is Penelope! Please take a look at http://www.ladress.com/ and be amazed by the mouth-watering pieces!

Chanel Spring 2009 Catwalk

Chanel Spring 2009 Guitar Bag

En anders meteen een goed excuus om dan maar gitaar te leren spelen, want dan neem ik er meteen die gitaar bij:

Chanel Spring 2009 Guitar 1Chanel Spring 2009 Guitar 2
Mijn voorspelling van "most likely to be copied bags" van Chanel: de papieren shopping bag met Chanel logo waar je aankopen normaliter in worden verpakt, maar dan nu van leer:

Chanel Spring 2009 Shopping Bag

Tot slot een klassieker "nieuwe stijl":
