Chanel red Cruise 2010 cardigan

Did you ever regret not buying something when you had the chance? Well, back in November last year my fabulous SA at the Chanel boutique in Amsterdam offered me a first pick on this gorgeous red cardigan from the Cruise 2010 collection. I decided to buy a bag instead. I wish I had purchased it. It would have been my first Chanel ready to wear item. :)

If I had bought the cardigan, I think this would be a great way to combine it:

So, as you may understand I am off to Chanel later today to check out what's on sale! :)

Today on this 5th day of May my country is celebrating liberation day. Every five years we get a day off to celebrate the country's liberation from five years of occupation by the Germans from 1940-1945.

How lucky I am to catch the flu on this sunny day off! :( Having bed rest leaves me no other option than to catch up on my reading and browsing on the net.

I have read about this fun fashion community online called Polyvore in the past but never found the actual time to look into it. Well, today is a great day to start. I've created an account and just made my first set called "My Spring '10 Essentials - Part I.

Polyvore set

So, what do you think of my first set? I just love Lauren Conrad's look, since I can really identify with her classic style. The items on this set are for me essentials for this spring! I simply can't get enough of the Chanel Jumbo, Prada sandals and Lancaster sunscreen. What are your essentials?

For more spring inspiration, do check out the vacation issue of Net-a-porter's magazine that has been released today. It's a real treat for every self respecting fashionata and makes me long for hot summers even more! I especially like the Missoni kaftan as shown on the page about Alice Temperley's vacation basics!

I love to mix and match designer items with high-street fashion and believe that especially H&M manages to translate catwalk trends into wearable designs that also keep my wallet happy. :)

Today H&M launched their summer collection. When watching this video, who can resist?

Since I'm used to popular items selling out fast in their online shop, I was up early and managed to buy a couple of things. I hope that despite the low price tag the quality is not too bad.

Here's a set of a couple of items I purchased today online combined with some other items:

I ordered the bikini, tanktop, sandals and bracelet. I also ordered the white shirt from the Garden Collection which I ordered before, but which turned out to be 2 sizes too big. I already have the shorts, hat (both H&M) and Ray Ban sunnies which I find to fit perfect in this beach look. Finally, I am crazy about scarves and hardly leave house without them. High on my wish list is this Love Quotes scarf called "Yoga". I hope you like this set! :)
